I hate to start a thread with a name, but I would like to know if Richard Muller is considered a good authority by the members of this board?
Dont get me wrong, I am not going to attack him or anything, but cite him. But I dont want to do that if I am going to get burned for doing so.
Please let me know if this is okay or inappropriate. And what I would prefer to do is run the material from Muller by Tiberius first.
Thanks,
David

Maybe a stupid question, but who is Richard Muller anyway?

G'day Jongere,
There are actually only a few stupid questions, and that is not one of them.
Richard Muller is a prof at Calvin Seminary. He is the leading expert on all things Protestant Scholasticism, historically speaking. He is a specialist in what is called the "second reformation." I forget the Dutch rendering of that phrase.
He has published lots of books on the Protestant Scholastics. I respect him a lot. I dont agree with everything he says, but he definitely is brilliant.
Thanks
David

Yes he is a good and faithfull authority.
I have his book: God, creation and providence in the thought of Jacobus Arminius.
Another standard work of him is: 'Post-Reformation Reformed Dogmatics' (four volumes), which has to be a very great work !
