You've read it many times. Many of you agree, champion the same cause.

The Puritan Board is guided by Biblical, Confessional, Reformed, and Puritanesque principles. We are very stringent on "rules," because we like to keep that closeness that is preserved by having Confessional Standards. We're not here to go tiredly over and over defending that which we have already established as Confessional/Biblical. That's not what this board is for. There are multiple other boards to go to if you wish to engage in:
1. Bashing the Puritans
2. Bashing the Confessions
3. Asserting things contrary to the Confessions
4. Constantly trying to undermine the Confessions by constantly asking leading questions concerning the doctrines therein.

Now, if you want to ask genuine questions, please do. But be honest, and don't ask with some kind of agenda that seeks to undermine our guidelines here. This, simply, is prohibited. There's a forum called the Wading Pool. You can ask your questions there. We welcome you to do so, and hope that you can learn. But the questions are not supposed to be assertions.

So, please, by all means, if you're not really Reformed, Confessional, or Puritanesque, please stay and learn. But don't try to make this board's standards be something else. If you're just a Calvinistic guy, but don't go for the rest of it, that's fine ... but don't expect to have your every hobby-horse against a Confession to be tolerated or entertained. There are other boards where you can do this, but it's not here. No one is entitled to have their say here on the board about things that are contra-Confessional.

We believe that the Moral Law of God is perpetual. We believe that this Moral Law is summed up in 10 Commandments, which can then also be summed up in to 2 Commandments (2 Tables). These 10 also include the 2nd and 4th Commandments (the two most debated lately). If you don't like those Commandments, you can stay and learn, but you're not welcome to undermine the Historical, Reformed, and Puritanesque teachings on the matter. There are other boards for that, but not this one.

So, we're glad to have everyone here who is here. We're glad to be a discussion board that is centered around the Reformed Faith. But that's exactly what it is about. The Reformed faith ... and that's where it will stay.

Yep, true, but the problem is that what may be an honest question from someone might be interpreted as bashing by another. So forum members and moderators also need to give others the benefit of the doubt at times. If you don't do that, you can moderate the whole forum to death in a hurry.

yeah.

Eerlijke vragen stellen, ok.
